  스토크하우스 세인트 킬다에서의 경험은 정말 최고였습니다. 음식은 훌륭했어요. 아름다운 플레이팅에 풍미 가득하고 정성껏 만든 게 느껴졌습니다. 우리가 시킨 모든 요리가 환상적이었어요. 하지만 무엇보다도 서비스가 최고였습니다. 직원분들이 정말 친절했는데, 특히 사랑스러운 젊은 웨이트리스 Alys가 최고였어요. 주문하기 전에 달콤한 와인을 마시고 싶었는데 메뉴판에 없어서 그냥 마시지 않기로 했어요. Alys가 그걸 알아채고는 저를 위해 특별히 와인 리스트를 가져다주었어요. 덕분에 제 취향에 딱 맞는 달콤한 화이트 와인을 찾을 수 있었죠. 정말 기분 좋은 하루였어요. 위치도 정말 좋았습니다. 바닷가 바로 옆에 있어서 실내에서 식사할 수 있었고, 강한 바람을 피하면서도 아름다운 바다 전망을 즐길 수 있어서 더욱 편안하고 특별한 경험이었어요. 훌륭한 음식, 멋진 서비스, 완벽한 바닷가 분위기. 스토크하우스 세인트 킬다를 강력 추천하며, 꼭 다시 방문할 거예요!

  Absolutely loved our experience at Stokehouse St Kilda. The food was outstanding — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried was amazing. What really made the visit special, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially our lovely young waitress Alys. Before ordering, I wanted a glass of sweet wine but couldn’t find one on the menu, so I decided to skip a drink. Alys noticed and kindly came back with a special wine list from the bar just for me. Thanks to her, I found a sweet white wine that was exactly my cup of tea. She truly made my day. The location is also a big highlight — right next to the sea. Dining indoors means you can avoid the strong wind while still enjoying the beautiful sea view, which makes the whole experience even more relaxing and special. Amazing food, wonderful service, and a perfect seaside setting. I can’t recommend Stokehouse St Kilda highly enough and will definitely be back!

  발렌타인데이에 방문했는데, 전반적으로는 만족스러운 경험이었습니다. 하지만(!) 650달러(!!)라는 가격을 생각하면 정말 실망스러웠습니다. 레스토랑에 들어서자마자 환영 인사는 훌륭했고, 아름다운 전망을 자랑하는 멋진 분위기였습니다. 하지만 실내가 너무 추웠습니다! 정말 너무 추워서 담요를 달라고 했는데 없다고 다소 무례하게 대답했습니다. 실내니까 이해는 하지만, 너무 추워서 견딜 수가 없었습니다. 직원들의 개별 서비스는 훌륭했지만, 서버들과의 소통은 드물었습니다. 매우 바쁜 레스토랑이라는 건 이해하지만, 세트 메뉴 때문에 마치 기계의 부품처럼 느껴졌습니다. 칵테일은 맛있었습니다. 그게 전부입니다. 애피타이저는 맛이 없었습니다. 보기에는 그럴듯했지만, 맛은 기대 이하였습니다. 오히려 안 좋은 의미로 대화 소재가 되었습니다. 솔직히 말해서, 스타터는 맛있었습니다. 빵은 토마토 소스를 찍어 먹기에 좋았습니다. 하지만 메뉴의 범위가 얼마나 좁은지 보여주는 한 예였습니다. 스낵에 생선회가 나오고, 바로 다음 전채 요리에도 같은 생선회가 나왔습니다. 전채 요리에 토마토가 나오고, 바로 다음 메인 요리의 사이드 메뉴로도 나왔습니다. 좀 더 다양한 메뉴가 있었으면 좋았을 텐데요. 스테이크는 괜찮았지만 아주 훌륭하지는 않았습니다. 게다가 약간 차가웠습니다. 생선은 아예 차가웠고, 생선 맛도 제 입맛에는 맞지 않았습니다. 고기는 거의 고무 같았습니다. 물론 다른 레스토랑과 비교하면 훌륭한 편이었지만, 600달러라는 가격을 생각하면 정말 감탄할 만한 맛을 기대했거든요. 그리고 펍에서 파는 감자튀김이라니, 정말 실망스러웠습니다. 디저트는 맛있었고 보기에도 예뻤습니다. 테마에 잘 어울렸지만, 대량 생산용이라는 게 분명해 보였습니다. 그래도 디저트는 가장 좋았습니다. 전반적으로 괜찮았지만, 이 가격대에서는 절대 추천하지 않습니다. 이 도시에는 이보다 훨씬 저렴한 가격에 훨씬 더 맛있는 음식을 파는 곳이 많습니다.

  Went here for Valentine’s Day - overall, a positive experience. But(!), for $650(!!) we were really disappointed. The initial welcome into the restaurant was great, it’s a fabulous setting with beautiful views. But it was freezing! Really, really cold inside - we asked for a blanket but were relatively rudely told they didn’t have any, fair enough it’s inside, but it really was too cold. The service was really good one to one, but the interactions with the servers were few and far between. I understand it’s a really busy restaurant, but the set menu made us feel very much like a cog in a machine. The cocktails were delicious. End of. The snacks were tasteless. Impressive(ish) presentation, but underwhelming in flavour. Was a conversation starter in a bad way. Starter was yum to be fair. Bread was a good way to soak up the tomato. But this was an example of the narrow scope of the menu - raw fish in the snacks, and then next the same in the starter. Tomato in the starter, and then next as the side of the main. Would have preferred a wider range. The steak was good, but not great. And cold ish. The fish was cold full stop, and the fish flavour really wasn’t to my taste. The meat was verging on rubbery. Again, all of this was great compared to any other restaurant, but for 600 bucks I’m hoping to be wowed. And pub chips, really? Felt very much like a cop-out. Dessert was yummy, and looked pretty. Nicely on theme, but clearly for mass production. It was a highlight. Again, overall lovely, but definitely wouldn’t recommend at this price point. Much better food available for less than half the price in this city.

  If you go here, go all out. Order that extra appetizer you've been eyeing. Don't cheap out at a place that you know is going to be expensive. With that in mind, from start to finish staff was attentive, answered questions no matter how silly, and were incredibly friendly. I got to gab with some of the bartenders since Long Islands are not super common there. That tickled me good. It's hard to think of any other dining experience that has matched the quality and enjoyment. Maybe I don't go to enough of these... As said, staff did not miss a beat and food quality and taste matched that. I felt mildly like a poser trying to dissect flavors, but that's part of the fun. And the view over the port and the ocean was stunning in the afternoon. I would recommend anyone go. I know I would do it all again in a heartbeat!
